On Trashing The Neighbourhood

I know I should not have to say this, but I am going to say it anyway: everybody from the age of two knows what a trash can is. I cannot say that everybody knows how to use one, because, everywhere I go I see litter. Every morning I hear the vac tanker beeping down the road cleaning up the mess from the night before.

Litter is something that we should not have to deal with. But, walk anywhere – and I mean anywhere, and you will see that someone has been careless enough to have dropped trash on the ground and left it. It is not the adults who are littering; it is the K-12 set. I believe this is happening because the parents of today are not teaching their children the concept of being a good steward of the planet. So, they don’t know any better, and drop trash as if it was normal. When you see litter, take the time to pick it up. Thank you.
